In the final year of the PYP, students, carry out an extended, in-depth, collaborative project known as the PYP Exhibition. On the 14th and 15th of June, our Grade 5 students will be sharing their PYP Exhibitions with the school community and beyond.
This project involves students working collaboratively to conduct an in-depth inquiry into real life issues or problems. It is a celebration of the skills and attributes that the students have acquired as a result of their journey through the Primary Years Programme. For seven weeks, students have been researching and inquiring into their topics and now they are ready to showcase their findings.
This year the PYP Exhibition at GWA Dubai has been completed entirely remotely via distance learning, which has brought a unique set of challenges, but has also allowed students to develop their independent research skills and take greater responsibility for their own learning. We have created a website, through which each group’s topic can be accessed. On this website you will find introductions from each of the PYP Exhibition Groups with a brief description of their central idea, as well as a schedule that will allow you to sign up for a group's live presentation. We look forward to seeing you there to celebrate this important stage in our grade 5 students’ education.
