Dear Parents, From the excited and eager looks on our students, the looks of wonderment and amazement on our parents, and the smiles on our staff, I had to surmise that our Student-Led Conference Day went exceedingly well. My corridor discussions with parents and students certainly confirmed that; however, we are always looking for ways to improve. Teachers have shared their thoughts for future conferences and, overwhelmingly, it seems that we’re looking at only small things we could do that could improve on the process. We did some things differently this year within some classes and across all classes (eg, date, sign-ups, passport, parent or student written feedback, greater focus beyond the portfolio, digital portfolios, …) and we’ll examine how we can make things even better next year. Thank you for making the time to come out and support your children’s learning during this important event. |
Since January 2016, the first ever GWA netball girls have been working hard to develop as a team. Driven with passion for the game, team spirit and exceptional skill level they have done just that! Finishing on a high, the girls achieved 3 wins in a row scoring 7-1, 10-1 and 10-4 against tough competition from schools with long established teams. Congratulations to all members of the team for their commitment and hard work. We look forward to continuing our success in the next academic school year. Photo from Left to right:
