Thank you to all in our community, students, teachers, and parents for the tremendous amount of effort that has been put into making this school the wonderful place that it is.
At the end of a long and arduous term we have had some wonderful new arrivals at GWA. Our Grade 1 students have been incubating eggs and this week they have hatched. This wonderful inquiry has produced some of the most beautiful expressions on children's faces as they touch the newly hatched chicks for the first time. This hands on learning reminds us of the inquisitive nature of children and their appetite for new things. I recently saw a video from a famous Astrophysicist which is definitely worth a watch. Here it is.
Thank you to all in our community, students, teachers, and parents for the tremendous amount of effort that has been put into making this school the wonderful place that it is. What a wonderful way to finish of the week – with Spring Fair! Thank you to all the parents who have worked so hard to make this such a wonderful day. The excitement has been palpable all day and as the students flooded out onto the field this afternoon all that energy was released on rides, enjoyment in listening to live music, dunking teachers, bouncing on trampolines… What a great day and what a great community we have here at GWA! Congratulations to all involved in the Secondary School production, Alice in Wonderland. This time honored story and production was artfully presented in a wonderful show. All the students showed so much energy and the development of their characters was terrific. All of this takes an enormous commitment on the parts of so many. Students commit numerous hours to the development our productions, yet I also want to express my appreciation to all the adults who gave up so much so that the students could experience the wonder of being on stage. Thank you to our director, Ms Andrea Leadbetter, and all Welcome to March! The year has gone so quickly and we are now at that time when students in the creative arts are ready to show you all that they have achieved. Next week is the production of Alice in Wonderland. It is a show so close to my heart as it was the first show I ever performed in (at a very tender age). I would really urge to you take the opportunity to go on the 6th (Tuesday) or the 7th (Wednesday) to see this wonderful production in which our students have been working so hard. |
