Yesterday, one hundred and twenty three Grade 12 students from GWA were a part of history at our school. The students, their parents and their teachers were a part of the official inauguration of the newly constructed IB Diploma Lounge.

These were certainly facilities that we felt would significantly enhance student life at GWA, particularly in the last two years of their schooling. The outcome is far better than many had hoped for. The state of the art facility would rival many university common spaces. This was the primary aim; to provide a I would like to take this opportunity to thank all those that responded to my request take part in the KHDA survey. An additional 200 surveys were completed, pushing our response rate to the highest it has been for over five years. The inspectors have been very complimentary this week and they have particularly noted the positive attitudes of parents, students and staff towards the school as expressed in the surveys. I am not at liberty to disclose the outcome of the inspection until KHDA publishes the report (about 6 weeks). However, I can say that it was a very positive outcome for the school. This week has been a positive process with inspectors commenting on how far we have come and providing advice on moving to the next level.
